Due to conservation concerns from the landowners, the Ben Nevis race route will change. Runners will now have to stay on the path from Conservation corner (Red burn shortcut) checkpoint one to the Red Burn checkpoint four for ascent and descent. Please see map for more information. There will be checkpoint mats on route that you must run through to ensure this new rule is followed. Failure to obey this rule will result in disqualification from the race and puts the future of the race at risk.
